To increase the rate of friend invites, Fetch Rewards tested a campaign to promote sharing behavior with points. Whenever a current user invited a friend to try the app, they received 1,500 Fetch Points. If the friend accepted, the friend also received 1,500 Fetch Points when creating an account.

This two-part campaign created awareness of the incentive via:

 

1. Push notifications, while users were outside the app

2. In-app messages, once users opened the app
