Product Manager (Productivity)

About this role

As a Product Manager of Productivity Engineering, you’ll drive the building of internal products for Leanplum employees.  Our team’s mission is to promote Leanplum’s success by building internal solutions that enable teams to better achieve their goals.You’ll have the opportunity to work on a multitude of technologies ranging from build systems for engineering, automated intelligence for marketing, and dashboards for tracking company metrics.We’re a customer first team that builds our internal products with the same attention to detail and quality as Leanplum’s external products.  You’ll have the resources of a world-class engineering team to bring these ideas to fruition.  This role requires a real passion for customers, product judgement, and technical depth.  


  • Serve as Product Owner for the Productivity Pod, a self-sufficient, autonomous team of 5 engineers.
  • Develop deep expertise in the area of build systems, continuous integration, and dashboarding / metrics collection.
  • Working directly with our internal stakeholders - which are all of the teams within Leanplum (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, HR etc).
  • Own the product vision for the Productivity Pod, leveraging customer relationships and insights to define and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Accountable for quality and business value of products.
  • Own and execute launch plans to successfully bring features to fruition and ensure wide adoption.


  • 3-4+ years of experience in software product management, and 5+ years experience in software industry (PM, engineering, project management, etc.)
  • Experience working with a software engineering team from concept to launch.
  • Experience with continuous integration and build systems.
  • Experience with developing web applications.
  • Computer Science degree or Software Engineering experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
