About the role

The Real Estate Project Manager is responsible for leading Leanplum's real estate and facility management efforts, delivering inspiring, productive and efficient workplaces worldwide. This person is expected to develop, coordinate, and implement initiatives for our growing portfolio of facilities.  The Real Estate Project Manager will work in collaboration with the CFO and People and Places team in San Francisco and with international offices. Frequent travel required.

What you will be doing

  • Plan, organize and monitor multiple office expansion projects globally. 
  • Gather employee feedback to drive site selection, design and workplace buildout decisions.
  • Manage a wide range of projects from small improvement projects to office expansions and relocations, ensuring minimum disruption to business activities. You’ll make sure each project is scoped appropriately, is staffed with the right team, and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work with functional leaders and the executive team to ensure that our offices are inspiring, productive and efficient environments reflecting our culture and brand.
  • Manage external vendors, including brokers, architects, designers, and contractors, to ensure the highest quality is being delivered on time and within budget
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate budget tracking of all project expenditures. 
  • Maintain active project status reports, as well as files on current and closed projects. 
  • Manage relationships with lease brokers, including providing support for lease negotiations.
  • Work closely with the Finance team on budgets, conducting negotiation of purchase and lease agreements, and managing lease closings.

  • A minimum of 5+ years of facilities management/real estate experience, preferably at a high growth startup.
  • Strong project management skills, with a capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial documents, cost estimations and project schedules
  • Strong negotiations skills in a cost-conscious environment
  • Knowledge of building design and construction, with familiarity with local building codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills
